Default Steering housing leak

Overhauled and adjusted my steering several years ago. Everything is great concerning the steering except I have a small leak I would like to address. I can not remember if I put an accessory oil retaining tube in my box when I overhauled it. I would like to check and add one if omitted, if I can do this without removing the steering assembly from the car. I do not have any other issues with the steering and it only marks it's spot. I would still like to check it out. If it requires removal of the column, I'll just periodically add fluid.

You can do it without removing the box. Easy to do.

Yes if it is a 2-tooth, however not so easy with a 7-tooth because the end of the steering shaft needs to be bored for the tube to have clearance.
