Front Brake Drums
I am searching for front brake drums for my 1954 Victoria . Not only are they difficult to find as compared to rears there is conflicting info . One vender states that they are the same as 55 and 56 and another says that 49 through 54 are the same . Can anyone provide the correct information in order to prevent an expensive mistake on my part ?

Re: Front Brake Drums
Are you building a numbers matching resto? If not, '68 Mustang 10" front drums will work. RockAuto #1634R are what you need. It's also a good idea to buy and install the matching '68 Mustang wheel studs.
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...sn=592&jsn=592 If you need the rear drums, '70 Econoline van units work there. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...sn=571&jsn=571 Oh yeah....prices are way cheaper than what you'd pay for '54 specific drums! |

Don't know where you're located or if '54 Ranch Wagon drums are the same but I've got a pair of fronts you can have for the cost of shipping. PM me if interested. I'll have them miked to verify that they're in specs. Have the complete spindles, baking plates, and brakes as well.

The 55/56 has 11in. brakes (as I remember ... ). MUST sounds the way to go. They are RAYBESTOS and not some cheap junk. It may be that the studs are recommended as the old drum has to be pressed off and the new drum on the hub and the swages on the original studs my be damaged/worn during the process.

Wow, good info on '54 drum interchange.. Would you happen to know what would work on 1957s and 1958s?
