Help -- ignition coil test?
Does anyone know where to get (or send the ignition coil for) a good, competent test of the coil? I have a Ford coil, original I think, that was working but now gives a bad run. Replacement fixed the problem but i'd like to know if the coil is salvagable. Please also Send an answer to [email protected] to be sure I see it -- I appreciate it. Thank you, -Bill G.

Re: Help -- ignition coil test?
There is a guy in Florida, Skip Hanny, who rebuilds flathead coils. He may be able to test or even repair the coil. Post on the Early V8 site for his phone number. The other one is Bubba's in Indy. Again, check on the Early V8 site for his contact information.

It has been mentioned here that the Florida guy has run out or cores to rebuild them. I don't know about Bubba Ignitions.

It ran bad with the "ford" coil and good with the new one. Tag it put it on the shelf and verify if someone rebuilds them.
