Default Pickup Production numbers - Ford verses Chev

Does anyone have the Yearly Production Sales Numbers for the Ford Pickup verses the Chevrolet Pickup during the fifties and sixties? I believe that during the fifties, Chevrolet Pickups outsold Ford Pickups, but that changed in the Sixties? Can anyone provide me with the Annual Sales of these two vehicles? Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure but if you were to add GMC's to Chevy's tally, I think then GM may have always outsold Ford. GMC's are not really any different than Chevies except for the grilles and badges.
OK, I have my flame suit on now.

They're pretty much identical now but in the 30's, 40's, 50's and into the 60's they had different engines, at least. Some early GMC pickups had flathead sixes while Chevy was always OHV. By the 40's GMC had their own OHV six that looked a lot like a the Chevy six, only much better with full pressure oiling and aluminum pistons, up to 302 cu. in. In '55 GMC came out with first V8, actually a Pontiac V8. They also offered the 4 speed Hydramatic trans with both the six and V8.
Then there was the V6 from '59 through '74 of 305 cu. in. in pickups and on up to 478 cubes in big trucks. None of these engines were used by Chevy.

I realize that Chevy and GMC combined have beaten Ford on many occasions, but as individual model lines are concerned, in recent years, the Ford F series has been untouchable. They have sold over 26 million F Series Trucks during their time at the top, and over 40 million since the F-1 was first went on sale in 1948. Can anyone help me with annual sales? I have them from 1985 to date, but need the ones before this date.

When it came to trucks, I've always been partial to GM's. I've never had good dependability with any Ford trucks I owned like I did with GM's. I broke things on the Fords way too easily. I currently own an F150 and I regret buying it. I only bought because I got a better deal on it than I could on a similar Chevy.
