Starts with hand crank only

Sorry folks about the time laps on finding my trouble with one of my model A's starting problem. I could start it with the crank but not the starter. Well I bought new battery, points, condenser, lower plate with new pig tail wire, coil and rebuilt starter and still the same problem. It finely got to the point it would stop like you turned the key off after it ran for a few minutes. Thats when I found it was the amp meter that was the problem. It was on and off with electrical flow at this point. I think it was not letting enough juice through when the starter was used but was when I hand cranked it. Waiting on a new amp meter now and I guess it will be another over sea's meter. When I jumped the terminals on the one in the car everything seems to be back to normal. But thanks for the help chasing down the problem.

the amp meters are often susceptible.




too bad someone doesnt produce a quality one here in America...........
charge too much and it will prob still sell.
