Default Electric Power Steering

Anyone know of a person or company that does electric power steering conversions? I'd like to do it on my 50 but it's a little beyond my ability's. Would like to keep the original steering column.

Yes, electric pS would be a big help for some of our old cars. I saw one a few years ago in an old Chevy PU steered pretty easy when parked. More information on this subject would be beneficial to our hobby,

this is a electric steering conversion i made for a low speed electric vehicle, if you look close you should be able to figure what flathead parts i used in making it,

the motor unit has to be anchored, there is a in spline and out spline couplers that have to be grafted in to the existing shaft

The unit for a '53 F-100 with column shift looks like it might also work on my '41 coupe. Has anyone ever done an EPAS on a '40 - '48 Ford car?

No direct experience with an old Ford, but it was a wonderful modification to my 1960 C1 Corvette.

This thread discussed it a few years ago : https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...power+steering

You might try a search on EPS. There are some other threads about EPS on both Fordbarn and the HAMB
