Yes, I have bought two at the recent sale price of $60.00/65.00. Have installed one in my '35 fordor sedan and it works well. It also fit very well and appears to be a well made copy of the originals. However, only time and method of use will tell how well /long the gears will hold up though. One thing I do to help from stripping the gears in these mechanisms is I gently push on the center bottom area of windshield glass as I crank on the winder. This helps to remove some of the force/stress on the gears as you open the windshield. Also, this becomes even more necessary when your car is moving along at speed and you have the force of the air pushing against a flat piece of windshield glass.

John,
I also bought one of Drake's WS regulators, but haven't installed it yet. When I looked at it, the unit doesn't appear to have any lubrication. Think it'd be a good idea to try & force a little greae or oil into the innards ?
Thanks,
-Bob

Can you buy just the piece the knob goes on? I had a good one but my splines are all messed up where the knob would screw to.
