Best place for thermo fan temp probe?
I was thinking of just putting the temp probe for a thermo fan on the head , which would be under the thermostat wouldn't it, however is this the best place..What about the top of the radiator hose? Triggers on at approx 185 and off at 175.

At the base of the fuel pump stand, where heat soak is the real problem.

Center of the rad works well for me. I have the thermo switch set at 160°F. The fan only comes on when in slow moving traffic.

Re: Best place for thermo fan temp probe?
Use an infra red temp gun to find the hottest part of the radiator and place it there.
It will probably be near the top finned area of the radiator. |
