Mine works great on my 8BA right out of the box also. Has 51 jets and a manual choke.

Ron,
I would like to be able to check A/F on our projects. Do you have any recommendation for a portable meter? Can any of these be used by placing in the exhaust tube? Showing my ignorance here.

Thanks for your help.

A friend of mine has this set up on a '52 pick-up he's building. What do you use for carb linkage? It's on the opposite side of normal hook-up.

Most mount the carb backwards so that it will line up with the original linkage.

Tuning one carb vs multiple 70 year old carbs is a no brainer. Mine runs great.

You could also kill two birds with one stone by using a Ford water heated spacer. It also has a port for a PCV system if you choose to use one. Here's a set up on a Lincoln V12 which is similar to a flathead V8.
