Default 36 front brake drum

I bought some front brake drums and hubs, thought they would work. My old drums have the drum s held in place to the hub from the wheel studs and the new one I bought are one piece casting. The new ones have a different bearing depth and will not fit the drum all the way over the shoes. Does any one know what I need and what are the drums that I bought. Thanks for the help Chris

If you're referencing the wide five bolt pattern style you've been caught by a common mistake. The '36 is unique, not the same as '37-9, they have a longer "snout" than the later pieces. Because they look "the same" people who are unaware make this mistake all the time. If the two vintages were set on the floor or bench side by side the difference would be noticed easily.
