mallory electronic conversion
Has any one used the electronic conversion for the mallory dual point. Also thinking of the ecoil that does not need a resistor thanks

Is the Mallory a model YC or model YL ? Pertonixs makes a conversion for both units and works very well. Will work with the 12 volt 1.5-4.0 ohm coils . MUST has ressitance and can not use a low ohm ( below one).
We do quite a few of these units each week. |

I tried it on a Mallory Double Life YC model, I never got the engine to run! I tried everything Pertronix suggested and was on the phone with them 4 or 5 times, I gave up and put new points in it, runs fine.

Thanks for the reply. Petronixs said the ecoil for this conversion does not need the resistor. have you used the ecoil

We offer three coils 1=low ohm ( .5 ohm) for electronic high energy needs 2- 1.5 ohm factory replacement coil 3-3-4 ohm coil for dual coils and hot rods with no resistor.... |
