Front screen hinges??

Hi All,

My 31 Fordor came with a permanently closed and sealed from screen. Now upon renovation I intend to go back to original, but lack information about how it's done. The missing piece of my understanding is the hinge - I am assuming there must be some sort of hinge above the frame.

Can anyone clarify for me how the front screen is hinged? Photos would be appreciated [emoji106]

There is a hinge piece that attached by the “curl” on the top of the frame. They work on each other as a limited hinge. That piece then screws to the wooden header. If you’ll post a pic of what the top of your frame looks like, might get a more helpful comment.

The challenge is that i don't have the moving frame nor the hinge part, since my car came without either.

The window frame is out of stock, so may take a while before I can get one.

So there is not much to photograph, unfortunately.

The photos posted, is that the moving frame and the hinge together?

yes. The photo is the complete hinge for Model A wind screen. You are likely missing the hinging part that screws into the wooden header. Decent original front windshields are fairly easy to find here in the States. That doesn't do you much good in Denmark?
On warm summer days, it is nice to be able to push open the front window for air flow. That's why it's hinged.
Would Berts in Colorado shop one to Denmark?
