Default 1936 Deluxe Coupe body number plate

Could someone please tell me if the body number plate goes under the patent plate on my 1936 Deluxe Coupe? If not, where?
Thanks in advance!

According to the 1935/35 Ford Book sold by the Antique Ford Club---the Body ID Plate goes above the Patent plate but on the slanted part of the cowl about 1" from the front edge & about 1" closer to the center of the cowl than the Patent plate. Its illustrated on page 10 of the book.

As a point of info.. The only bodies that had "body number plates" were the bodies that Ford out-sourced.. The Ford factory bodies did not have body number plates...
My '36, a very late '36 DeLuxe, which I have owned for over 60 years, does not have a body number plate, never did.. The paint on the cowl is original, there is not even a dimple in the surface for the attachment screws/pins..

Hi Bill (blucar) - from your original 1936 cowl, can you tell us the beginning and ending numbers on your Patent Plate?

thanks

Ken

Gary, did you clean that media in your air filter or is that new? If you cleaned it how? I need to clean/renew the filter in our '36 Thanks.

The air cleaner is a 37 Ford with new Chore Boy copper media. I have since changed to a Donaldson oil bath filter.

As I stated in my 12/29 comments, my car does not, did not have a body number plate.. There are no holes in the original paint on my cowl where a body/patent number plate would have been attached..
Had there been a body number plate on the cowl it would have been located above the Beehive oil filter...
