Default V8 vs 6 cyl. Valve Guide Differences

I found some NORS 2 piece valve guides today. The boxes are old and unmarked. These are packaged 6 pairs per box so I assumed 6 cylinder though the guides look just like a 59AB type guide and initial measurements seem to make them the same. The Green Book shows a 6 cyl # for exhaust guides. My question is, is there a difference? There are 2 boxes so enough to make a set for a V8.
Thanks, Paul
