Rear wheel hub bearings
I have a wheel bearing kit for the rear wheels. This is the one where you install a race in the hub and uses a smaller outer diameter bearing. The instructions are to use locktite and press the races into the hub. Small problem. The races dropped into the hubs with little effort. You can spin them but they do not rock. I found another set of instructions on line that say you can install the races with little effort and to turn them as they go in to help prevent wiping the Locktite from the surfaces. Should I be concerned with this.

Re: Rear wheel hub bearings
It sounds like you need Loctite retaining compound rather than plain Loctite.

Re: Rear wheel hub bearings
Addendum. The kit came with Loctite 290 thread locker which is currently in place.

Re: Rear wheel hub bearings
290 is a thread locker. I thought they would use a sleeve retainer.
