Default Black Friday

Do any of the parts suppliers have Black Friday or holiday sales on parts? I am in need of some more expensive parts and wondered if I should buy them or are prices solid year round??

Are you serious? Suppliers are having enough problems just obtaining the parts.

I have not ever seen any of the vendors I use do any Black Friday deals. However, sometimes they will do promos with their gift certificates. A couple years ago one vendor would add 10% onto your gift certificate. If you purchased a $100 certificate, you would get $110. So, you could purchase yourself a gift certificate and then turn around and purchase your parts with that.

Brito36 is right though, it is getting to the point where we are lucky if the parts are in stock.

Black Friday has a very different meaning here. It is still remembered solemnly and respectfully. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_bushfires FWIW, 4,900,000 acres is very nearly 7,700 square miles

History, some repro parts can be found on ebay. Ebay will run holiday sales on occasion
and you get about 5% off. for me, that translates into most of my state tax and nothing more. If I make a large purchase, I will sometimes do that.

in the past, I would sometimes get as much as 15% off, using a major credit card along with ebay, and buy gold bullion. it worked out very well.
Check on some of the chase ccd offers. my one card gives me 5% bonus for using ppl as we speak. Hence I will buy some things off of the bay.....

Not really a Model A source but in the past Bob Drake had Black Friday deals.

If you get on the email list for various Model A suppliers, you will receive notifications of sales. For example I recently bought a rumble seat floor mat that was regularly priced at $42 on sale for $27. Same mat, same quality. You will also get notifications of new and/or improved products.

The easiest Way I know of for an item to go on sale is to BUY it!! I promise it'll go on deep discount the next day!!

Interestingly enough, I got an email this morning from CW Moss that they're offering 10% Black Friday sale on most items.
