Logo lites - turn signals any opinions ??
I've been looking for a LED turn signal set up for the "A" and ran across these. A little pricey and prices go up June 1. At looks like a clean removable set up. Has anyone used these ? Let us know what you think of them please.

Re: Logo lites - turn signals any opinions ??
I put a set on my 1928 Coupe. The installation was very easy and they work very well.
Maybe I am little picky, but I did not like the two Phillips headed screws on the LED lights nor the red bullet connectors supplied to connect the LEd lights to the supplied black wire. I changed both of these and was warned by the manufacturer about opening up the LED lights as it could damage the lights if I had a static charge in my body. The two turn signal buttons are very easy to use once you get used to around the steering wheel. Dave |

Re: Logo lites - turn signals any opinions ??
I installed them on my roadster about a year ago, and am very happy with them. Easy to install. The only thing that I don't like is the look of the control box on the face of the gas tank. Since I have a roadster, I placed the control box below the seat, on the steel seat riser, so the unit is completely out of sight. When I use the turn signals, I just reach down and feel the two buttons to get the correct left or right choice. I can't see the light flashing on the control box, but the cricket is plenty loud enough to remind me to turn them off after making my turn.

I am very pleased with mine. I especially like how bright they are and how little amperage they use. My grandchildren love the chirping noise!!!

i LOVE MINE! One word of caution......the system uses a one amp fuse. Make sure you don't use a higher fuse because if you have any electrical problems you WILL fry
the system-----game over. The cost of the control box is about 100 bucks. To repair the system yourself, you have to drill out the rivets that hold the box together and it's a pain in the a**. Be sure you have some spare fuses because most parts stores have to order them. One amp fuses aren't that popular to maintain in inventory. Jack

A-Jay,I've had them installed on my tudor for 4yrs now and they work perfectly. They do buzz when there on which I like,so your not going down the road with a signal on because you forgot to turn it off.I did run the wiring thru bulk loom which can be purchased thru Snyder's Antique Auto Parts.I think it makes the wiring look more period correct.Enjoy your A.

I have them on my 30 Coupe and love them. The lights are very visible but yet not intrusive.

Re: Logo lites - turn signals any opinions ??
I too love my logo-lites. I only wish I would have mounted the control box up high on the header. I find it's a pain in the ars snaking my arm between the steering wheel and door panel to activate it.

I installed direction lights with a flasher unit on my "A". Not LED. Just 6 volt bulbs. They fit between the bumper bars. Am very pleased with them

I've got the Logo Lite turn signals on both my 29 Roadster an 30 Coupe. They are wonderful; most of all they are completly independently wired and do not use any of your existing wiring . You get the complete kit with nothing else to buy.

Re: Logo lites - turn signals any opinions ??
Logo Lites on my RPU. No bumper in the rear, so I bent the mounting bracket 90 degrees and installed them vertically under the bed. Not very authentic ... but the guy behind knows I'm going to turn.
I also appreciate the tone that reminds me to turn 'em off, but I wish it was a bell tone or chime instead of the grating electronic alarm. It's not only not-vintage, it's ANACHRONISM! Here's a picture of them when the truck was loaded. Sorry. You have to look closely. |

Re: Logo lites - turn signals any opinions ??
I've had mine for 6 years and LOVE them. I'm a big proselytizer. They're clean and easy to mount, look unobtrusive, and are very bright. The only thing I did was paint the control box dash color so it would blend it better. I think it's very discreet that way. In my opinion they're worth the price for their well-thought design and ease of use.
I've also got their STOP light in the rear window but I see that they no longer offer that. It's a shame, that's an incredibly effective warning light. I've had a lot of people (not old car guys) ask me about it. |
