Default I found a good front end assembly

I am on my way to go look at what looks to be a good, almost complete front axle assembly for the 28. Time to start the project. Winter us almost upon me.

I was wondering how the rerestoration project was coming along. It just makes me sick to see pictures of burned antique cars. In the past few years it seems there has been a rash of them.

That's true! When that crap gas first came out there was a sudden big increase in burn spots on the sides of the road from car fires.

Many of the recent antique car fires seem to be from wild fires and garage fires though. For a little added safety I remove the power going to my outbuildings when I'm not in them.

Tom - Things were on ice for a while so I could get some things in order in my private/business life. Time for some fun.

Sadly, the fellow who sold me the front end told me the kingpins were new. They are not. But that is ok as they are still very serviceable. I think he was given bad info when he got the parts. From what I can see, this frontend has almost no mileage on it so I will replace the bushings and spindle bearings and such, blast it and paint it.
