Hi Fredski,

When the large horizontal floorboard is in place, the front of the attached irons point "UP",, like the front of a ski so they can support the bottom of the front angular floorboard.

Hope this helps.

Hi Fred,

Just a belated thought.

Because of:

A. Possible slightly warped plywood, or a slight plywood misfit for any reason, or,

B. The length of time required to remove & reinstall improperly placed rivets in wood;

C. It is a good idea to:

1. First, install "both" the angular & the horizontal floor boards in their proper positions.

2. Second, adjust same to fit neatly with no binding, thus allowing perimeter space for the perimeter sealing cloth.

3. Third, get under vehicle and mark the correct position for the two (2) steel bars, (front to back), whereby the steel bars will not cause an obstruction at the angular/horizontal floor board joint.

4. Fourth, follow remaining written instructions, & maintain the drawn, plan left to right dimensions for the positioning of the steel bars for a correct installation for fitting floor board plates, etc.

Hope this helps!
