Below is the dimensions on the sill beams, copied from Appendix A of my book. The book also includes descriptions of all of the stake bed parts, so go to the Early Ford V8 Club web site and order a copy if you are interested in more information.

Dave

The wood sill beams are positioned directly above the frame rails and are 7 1/8″ tall and 2 3/16″ thick. The wood sill beam for the 157″ wheelbase platform is 147 13/16″ long and the 131 ½″ wheelbase platform sill beam is 111 5/32″ long.
The rear end of the sill beam is cut at a 60-degree diagonal from the bottom, reducing the beam height by 2 1/8″ at the rear end and is bolted to a metal bumper cap which is riveted to the rear frame member (Figure A.1-6).
The sill beams have a 45-degree 1/8″ chamfer on all edges. Notches 5/16″ deep made on the bottom face of the beam provide clearance for protruding frame rivet heads.
