Default Flathead engine storage

I just moved 3 complete flatheads to my new barn/shop with modified
H/F 1000# dollies. The dollies got there but the casters bend easily and
they have all kinds of casters in their store except dollie replacements.

My question is, what have you guys built to move/store your flatheads ???

I was thinking of welding up a frame that bolts to the exhaust ports.
Figuring if one side of exhaust bolts can hold, then both sides together
would easily work.

Make a wood base that motor sits on .
Make sure no weight is on Oil Pan .
Then put Wood Frame & Motor on a Cart

Make a separate 4 wheel dolly for each engine , stand each vertically and bolt the belt housing of each engine to a dolly. This takes up less space.

I have a nice flathead cradle I bought from Stumpy's Fab Works. It's really well made. Thinking about my time and materials cost to build one it was a pretty good deal.

I have a spare flathead bolted to a Stumpys fab works stand and I added 4 HD wheels from Harbor Freight. It rolls around my shed nicely.

I build these double deckers from 40 dollar Harbor Freight engine stands. Of course I'm dealing with bare blocks so my design would need to be modified. So far no caster failures and they don't take much floor space. The lower blocks sit on their pan rails on 3"x 3/16" flat stock on edge. I weld a 3/8" dia pin sticking up an inch above these cross arms so the blocks can't slide off when taking a corner at high speed.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), this is why Todd Butterworth's flathead replacement block project probably won't won't get off the ground. I count 9 blocks in this picture. I wonder how many times situations like this are duplicated out there? When these blocks come back into circulation (by whatever means), there will be more blocks than guys who want to build one.

Is that 7 or 8 engines? Are there more? No wonder you wanted 4 carb spacers!
