Not model A related (entirely) Kindig-it-Design
I am on vacation visiting family in Salt Lake City. I have watched Bitchin' Rides occasionally on Motor Trend TV, and I did the one-hour tour of Kindig's shop today. Wow, it really must be nice to have all the tools and toys at your disposal. What a shop and wow, the work quality is superb. I am no artist, and I never thought I could get into any kind of appreciation for custom work like that, but on the scale that their shop does the work, it really is beautiful. Of course, the customers pay big money and have some pretty serious wait times.

It's one of the few car shows I watch. The skills of the employees are incredible, and the cars they put out are second to none in the modified world. I also like the fact that there is no bitchiness between them, they all seem to get along and enjoy working for Dave Kindig.

I enjoy street rods, Bangers and custom cars as well as vintage original cars. Kindig-It, the Phantom Works, Graveyard Cars, Street Outlaws, Overhaulin, Wheeler Dealers, Counting Cars, Gearz, Desert Kings, What's In The Barn, Barn Finds, and other car shows are my favorites.

I like Bitchin' Rides too. I also watch a few that are mentioned in post #3. Right now I think my favorite is "Iron Resurrection". Joe Martin and his crew "appear" to have a passion for what they do and do it well.

Enjoy the show too, but occasionally get tired of the second in command (shop foreman). Can not remember his name. I know his attitude is mostly for the show, still tire of it though.

I think it would be hard to do that work then send the car out to someone else. probably better than most jobs though.

I enjoy the shows too. It is interesting to see that some things that in reality take a whole day to do are done in about 2 minutes worth of film time on the shows. I like the Garage Squad, but I have often been amazed at how clean their hands look after dropping a rear-end and rebuilding it. Same with Wheeler Dealers. I swear those guys must have a behind the scenes crew of mechanics, and then Ant steps in to show how its done with clean hands. But, I still watch them.

I too have noticed the clean hands. Where can I buy the grease repellent? I went to the auto store and looked on the blinker fluid aisle, but it was not there. Perhaps I should have looked next to the muffler bearings.

The Kindig show is one of the better ones, but still a bit hard for me to watch. All of those type of shows have too much drama, but hey, most people wont watch it unless there is. Dave may be a great guy, but he comes off way too arrogant for me, I wont even mention the facial hair, oh wait a minute I just did!

I like most of these shows too, but sometimes the drama gets a little much. "Oh my God, now we have to replace a wheel bearing!" You have a lift, and $100,000 worth of tools. I think you can handle a wheel bearing in short order.
