General Jumbo hubcap question
Who is reproducing the hubcaps for these vintage wheels? I found a post on H.A.M.B. that they cost $125ea. OUCH!!!
I tried to reach the person who posted but couldn't figure out how to send a message to the member on H.A.M.B. After trying to navigate it and getting nowhere I decided to come back to Fordbarn for the answer. This is a much nicer and easier place to be. |

Re: General Jumbo hubcap question
Could you be more specific? Some retailers: Macs, Bob Drake etc.

Re: General Jumbo hubcap question
That's not a bad price considering how rare they are - as they are no longer reproduced.....

Re: General Jumbo hubcap question
I've tried all the vendors I could think of and did a lot of web surfing. I even tried Wheelsmith who remakes the Artillery style and has several hubcap options but nothing to fit my wheels.
I was hoping I could find hubcap that could be modified to work. I saw where a fellow found a way to screw the hub cap adapter on the wheel then use a regular Ford hubcap. Only problem is he had a different profile on his wheels than I have. Thanks for the H.A.M.B. instructions. I'll give it a try.................... |

Re: General Jumbo hubcap question
Sorry not much of a HAMB guy since they changed it all around so don't go there a lot. They repo the caps back in the early 80's for the 14 inch only they are different then the 15 &16 inch wheels. Then about 3 years ago there was a guy in California selling on ebay I didn't have the money to buy me an extra set and wish I did. Then Jimmy (wheelkid) started selling them from rallyamerica.com and I had the money but they had a fire that burnt the place to the ground before I had ordered some. I called he said they had none. If you find some let me know where. I have five caps and only used four so I have one spare if I need one or if I ever put spare on.Darrell
