Default Anti rattle brake rod clips

I just went through my brake rods and new pins. I am looking for picture of the anti-rattle clips installed.

The rear I have in front of the ball on the rod and the front I have the clip behind the ball. Does this sound correct?

Thanks for the help.

You are correct. The rear anti-rattlers push the rod rearward to keep the shoes from dragging. The front anti-rattlers push the rods forward to do the same function.

Tom, For clarification, the springs/anti-rattlers themselves are mounted on the pedal side of the "ball" and push the rods toward the respective backing plates in order to prevent the springs pulling on the rods in the braking direction?

Easy way to remember, Those are brake pull rods and spring returns.

Hm, don't know how to understand that... I have mounted them so that they pull the rods into the direction of the pedal, or the middle of the car. The front ones pull to the rear, the rear ones pull to the front. am i having a brain-fart and being too confused?

good morning,

sorry, after a good nights sleep: yes, i must have been confused, very confused.

The brake rods are pulled by the pedal. The springs have to work in the other direction, pulling the rods in the direction to the brakes, so back in the back and to the front in the front.

Does that make sense? If not, please correct me!
