Default 1940 Ford Convertible rear glass

I bought this thing a couple of years ago, with thoughts of putting it in my 52.. Well I am sure that's not going to happen, so before I sell it, I would like to leard a bit about it.

1. How can I be sure it is 1940 and does it really make any difference?

2. The glass is marked "duolite" pretty sure that is after market replacement glass.. It is laminated if that makes any difference.

3. Very little pitting, chrome is near excellent but it has screws coming in from the chrome side, while other I have seen have the screws in the painted side?

How much of any of this makes any difference?

Frame is 7 x 25 inches on the outside

Here is a link to Lebaron bonney--- they have many different ones, you could look through to see if what you have matches

I bought a window at Hershey, sort of oval, thinking I might make my 36 look a little different, saw the same window in a Rolls, and Packard at the Hershey car show, but the glass bug is Gm from 39,or 40

A correct '40 Ford rear windshield frame has an outer nominal dimension of 7" x 21"
