Default 1940 Deluxe - 2 door

City: Bowling Green
State: Kentucky
Price: $31,000

I am reluctantly selling our '40 Ford Deluxe 2 door sedan (Tudor). It is a Texas car that underwent a full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration in the late 90's. I bought the car a few years ago and put a few minor hot rod touches on it without really changing it around too much. I have receipts for most all parts/work done to the car including extensive rebuild of the original flathead. The car has just over 10K miles logged on it since completion. I put 9K of the miles on it in the last two years. That being said, it runs and drives great. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in and drive cross country in it just as it sits.
Few details (of course call or email with questions or to request more photos)-
Engine - original flathead that has been fully rebuilt. Isky cam, Offenhauser aluminum heads, dual Holley 97's, MSD ignition, dual carb Offy intake, Smitty mufflers, Fenton headers etc.
Transmission - original 3 speed on the column. Shifts good, no weird noises or issues.
Steel body - The body is really nice. The paint is a Cadillac tri-coat color that looks really good overall but does have a few small stone chips etc. It always gets compliments on the paint. The car looks as good underneath as on the topside.
Electrical - all new wiring. The car has been converted over to a 12 volt system with an alternator for reliability. It has electric wipers and electric fuel pump. It also has a state of the art am/fm/cassette deck mounted under the dash (also a CD changer under the seat but I don't know how to use it).
Interior - original seats with custom upholstery in good shape. I have kids and the interior is very kid friendly. I installed 4 sets of seat belts to keep the crew safe. All new VDO gauges. All gauges, lights, signals, wipers, horn etc work fine.
Glass - all new tinted. The passenger side rear glass has a very small crack in the corner as a result of a flying Hot Wheel. I placed and old Bonneville sticker over it to hide it. Out of sight, out of mind...
Chrome and trim - In my opinion, all shiny parts look new.
Wheels/Tires - Wheels are factory 16"ers with bias ply wide whites. Tread is 85% or better. I bought the tires and tubes new about 2 years ago.
Side note - I lowered the car quite a bit using a Magnum 4" dropped axle with modified posie springs front and rear. I also added tubes shocks and sway bars. Original parts available. I have a folder full of receipts and a detailed history for the car (more info upon request).

I am selling this to fund the purchase of another car. If the deal falls through on the other car I am after, I will more than likely take this off the market. I said I would never sell it and I get cold feet just typing this out.

I posted our yellow one up for sale too, take a look at it if this one is more than you are wanting to spend. It is a great car too that has the same build style.
