Default Stained Glass Ford Window Hanging

My younger son surprised me yesterday for my birthday with a stained glass oval Ford script window hanging. The blue glass is from hand formed sheets. It's hanging in the window next to my computer so I'll see it a lot.

Here's the back story. My son's soon to be wife (wedding is in three weeks) works in a stained glass store. One day a few months ago a woman came into the store and donated a lot of her art work to the store as she is downsizing. When the Ford sign was revealed, they snapped it up as a gift to me.

I asked as working with stained glass is one of my other hobbies and a most satisfying one.

Perhaps your son has unknowingly created a new thread that show cases" Gifts from the heart."

I made a stained glass window for a friend for the Allen Motor Company in Ohio. In business back in the 20's. The window was the radiator emblem on their cars. I have done glass work for over 50 years. I will try a Ford blue oval this winter.
