I remember Hotrodding in the 50's, after I got out of the Navy, the Oldmable engine was king. Hurest made the starter reverse adapter, and most Fords got an Olds 324 up engine the 370 had tripplecrbd. Clay smith and Engle had the hot cams. AsK Pete he was there???
