Default Body to frame

I had to raise the body quite a bit to get the hood to align, doors work but was wondering how high off the frame is the body supposed to sit on a 1931 Model A Coupe?

There should be 1/4" thick rubber pads nailed to the bottom of the wood mounting blocks. So the clearance between the body and running board aprons should be at best 1/4". However, over time the rubber pads compress so the clearance reduces, but in my opinion the least should be 1/8" minimum.

I would consider the usual sagged frame or the possibility you have a 28-29 frame or front cross member.
