A friend has a set of wheels that have been sandblasted and primed but have been stored for years and have rusted a little. They will need to be blasted again.There will be some some VERY minor pitting. The spokes are straight but the wheel stud holes in ONE of them are worn a little. The area where the tube meets the wheel is pitted on all 4.With a bit of elbow grease, they should clean up nicely.Sorry but I have a problem posting pictures.I can send to your e-mail or cell phone though.If interested, give me a call.Thanks, Gene.

I used a polycarbide abrasive wheel (heavy duty scotch brite) on a small area of the rim where rust was visible. It cleaned up quickly and there were no pits that I could see. Next, I gave it a coat of rattle can black.No pitting. Nice and smooth.
