Default ‘36 coupe dovetail

Did all ‘36 five window coupes come with passenger side female dovetails?
Mine doesn’t have one and it’s missing the piece inside the B pillar that the dovetail goes into.

They did come with one and your conclusion is correct, it's missing.

Hot Rod,
I see you are in Denver. If anyone has one, it would be Bernie. He has lots of '36 stuff.

I figured it out, the plate that houses the female dovetail fell down to the bottom of the B pillar. I’ll either have to leave it as is or cut apart the B pillar to get the plate out to weld it inside the pillar and then put the dovetail in.

Just a suggestion, before cutting try putting a very strong magnet on a brass chain, pushing it in as far as it goes with a piece of wood, and hopefully the bracket will come up when you pull out the chain.

I can move the bracket up the B pillar with a screwdriver but it needs to be welded into place and I’d have to cut into the pillar just to get the bracket out to clean the rust off and be able to get the gun there to get a good weld.
