Default 36 Truck Steering Wheel Removal--Thanks

I have been reading on Ford Barn for a while, but am a newbie as a poster. I would like to thank recent and past posters for information I have learned here. Without it, I wouldn't have known to unbolt the steering gear from the frame or the column from the dash to take the horn rod out the back window or to drill and tap the hub to accommodate a puller.

For what was a far more involved task than I expected, it went pretty smooth (and no--I didn't bend the horn rod). Now, I will drill and tap the hub on the "new" steering wheel that I refurbished with NuMetal epoxy (a good product for this purpose, by the way) in case I need to remove it in the future.

I also learned here of vendors previously unknown to me (All Ford, and C&G) and purchased a steering gear end seal with the brass tube extending above the oil level as well as a horn rod wire repair kit to complete the job.

Thanks again to all.
