Default 1932 Roadster Door Hinge Bead

I'm wondering if anyone is able to tell me if the stock 32 roadster had the bead around the door hinge?

For context, I'm resto-modding one and I'd like to keep the sheet metal as original looking as possible but need to replace some panels - doors being one of them. The original doors I have don't have the bead but they have been worked on and potentially skinned in the past.

Any information is appreciated.

The three-sided bead surrounding the door hinges of '32 phaeton and roadster doors was added as a running change fairly early in the model year so your doors might be the early version if not modified.

David, were the top roll and inner panel changes made at the same time as the hinge bead change? Or were they all at different times?

alchemy,

In answer to your question about the coincidence of the other changes while the odds are good that they were done at the same time, there's likely no way of confirming it as the part numbers did not change and that likely means that the existing engineering drawings were revised, not redrawn. That revised drawing will likely be the one that survives at the Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn with the only evidence of changes being a series of dates in the upper right hand corner of the drawing but without any information as to the what those individual drawing revisions were for.
