Default 28 floor boards again

So, after all the discussion and pictures, What kind of wood was used, and was it stained black?

This is a quote from the Ford Industries booklet about the wood that Ford used:
"Only strong, sound lumber is used even for parts that are never seen by the owner. Hardwood is used exclusively, maple, birch, elm, and oak figuring largely in Ford Construction".

The description of Ford's Lumber Industry is very interesting.

Hard wood. Black 'waxy' asphaltum based wood preservative as seen under the rear carpet on my November 28 Tudor.
