Default 47 sedan windshield install

I did this 15 years ago but don't remember how I did it. I remember something about string and dish soap and see references to that in other threads but don't remember the details.

Anyone know of a video showing how it's done or more detailed instructions? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I found this video that refreshed my memory of how to install the glass and seal using the string and soap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTOfr6vpzPE

I'll give it a try and hope it works.

Hey there world traveller, good to see you back here again. If I’m not mistaken, you should have a couple years worth of pictures and stories to share with us!

This is from Mac Van Pelt's website. I followed it installing new glass on my 40 sedan. It states it’s for 40-46. Be careful how you pull the rope/string out. Do it slowly and be careful not to rip the rubber gasket. I used a solution of dish soap and water in an old spray bottle to keep the rubber wet as I went along. http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/f...-40-46_pg1.htm

The instructions are also on Mark's 1941-1948 Ford Parts website.
