Default Brass adjustment needle question please

One of my gas adjustment needles has two small holes at and near the tip. All the others are solid. What is the application for the one with the holes?

Thanks in advance
Charley

I've never seen one with holes as they are solid brass. No reason that i can think of for having a hole in them because the tip seats into hole.

Thanks for your replies. I had a Simmons carburetor here and just removed the GAV. It is the same with the holes in and near the tip. Here is a photo of the needle.

Best

Gary, your photos are better than mine. Appreciate you posting them. Can you post a photo of the Simmons Venturi?
Thank you
Charley

I have passed on a 2 Simmons carb. cores at swap meets in the last few years, because of my lack of knowledge on these. If I see one in the future I will buy it out of curiosity now. Thanks for putting up the article.
