Default 24 NOS Aluminum heads?

Hey guys, I am seeking opinions and information on some heads I have.

They are 24 stud. They are Canadian. They are NOS (i guess).

I guess I wonder if they are milled and wall hangers or something else. Talked to a local guru and we looked at other heads and the thought they are not milled. But they have a different combustion arrangment.

No info I can find. Thank you guys.

C7RA aluminum heads from Canada, very nice heads! Small chambers high compression. Get them! Weiand actually made 'cheater heads' with the same part number [C7RA], but they are cruder than these genuine Ford parts

They look completely new and NOS to me. I'd love to have them and run them on a big-cube motor. I'd rework them a bit - to change the transfer areas.

If you're bored with them and maybe want to sell or trade them - let me know. I'll put them to a good honest high-horsepower use . . . on a really FUN engine! LOL

I don't have a current directive for them. I really don't know about them. But it is encouraging. Don't really know the history though. Which is what I'm after.

The deep piston to valve relief is odd.

I traded for them. I can trade out too. I run 21 motors. But I can put them on a wall too if that is all they are. LOL has always been a pet peeve of mine. It's dismissive depending on context.

Thnks Brian. I'm going to guess from a few responses they are interesting. Would like so more history if someone has any.

A few years back I ran a nos set of those heads you have pictured. They are GOOD heads.

Measure from one side to the other, where the piston would go. I believe that this should be 3 3/16"- bore size for an original block.
If it's smaller the head has been surfaced, relative to the diameter.

Yes, the transfer area is interesting. However the chamber is quite large. Might want to CC the chambers first. I can understand why B&S would like them.. At present, I'm modifying a stocj 8ba head, just to see how it works out. Cheaper that way!!

Hi Ron; X2 on the CC. Wasn't it the Denver heads that were higher compression and the Canadian heads standard and both were aluminum, Craig.

I went to buy a pair of these, (20?) years ago.
Brought a 59AB iron head, to compare.
Used water and a syringe to compare volumes,
They were exactly the same size combustion area.
I did not see the need to buy them, $400 could go somewhere else...

Those heads a certainly cool.

I could be wrong, but I thought all "Denver" heads were cast iron and had part an "S" in the part number.

For example: 81AS - 81SB - 99AS - 99SB- 19AS

Thanks guys. I don't mean to be a difficult person, just how I am sometimes. I'm really a nice person.

It's good to know they look original and not milled. Which was my concern. The valve relief into the piston space seemed fine. Maybe. bit much. The cylinder relief on the lower end of the head seemed shallow making me thinking it was shaved.

I was aware of cheater heads from roundy-round stuff. Denver/Canadian heads etc. with a grinded off Canadian script.

I guess from the information that there is not a positive indentation of over milling. Guess the real only way is as Ol' Ron says. Thank you guys. For certain you guys are the goto information people. Thank you.

Weiand made a copy of the Denver heads that had the same chamber as ther Race heads. Ran these on the stock car for awhile, before switching to modified stock heads.
