Default Upright shocks

When i bought my A there were no rear shocks on the car, just the leafspring.
As the original Houdaille shocks are unobtainable overhere i could buy new ones for 1000 euro's a piece,,,,,,,,,too much for me
I bought a pair of upright Monroe shocks at a swapmeet for 50 euro, made a couple of brackets of some scrapmetal i had laying around.
It works like a dream.
