I don't like the price tag. Nothing wrong with the oil I just prefer the cheaper Dinosaur juice.

No, the oil company's attorney told them to put that on the label!

They tell me that the Walmart brand is Mobil at a lower price. It works for me.

I never go to Walmart; I'm too much interested in helping the US economy and local businesses instead of the Chinese economy and blood-sucking corporate America. But I go to my local auto parts store and buy whatever motor oil is on sale. Usually I get a gallon of brand motor oil for $12.50 or $13.90 max.

If it makes you feel good, go ahead. Common sense tells me, if you don't look out for your self, most others ain't gonna. I plan to save when I can especially when its the same product.

Its Mobil but not Mobil 1. Mobil 1 is the full synthetic.

Here we go...any thread on any board with the word "Walmart" usually gets a post like this one.

Aww, shucks. Now that we have the " last word on oil " I'll sure miss the opinions. Wonder what will take up the space, syntheticly refined bitumen........ ?

Sam Walton didn't sell off our manufacturing capabilities and send jobs over seas. Walmart sells the lowest cost product with the best value, whereever it can be found. I would think that most stores sell foreign products. I would rather buy from the rich man that gives me a break than the rich guy with the hardware store that got rich by selling foreign products at a rip off price.

I think that there is a lot of misinformation about Walmart to suit certain peoples prejudices. Just how much of information is factual and how much is passed on gossip?

With my 10% discount I could change oil for under $12.00. Rod

This is a great site!!! All of the above info is important and greatly appreciated! :-) I find that house-brand items are usually the best buy, this includes stretch pants.

Model A oil buying made simple:
1) go to your favorite retailer, whether it be Wally-Mart, Sams, TSC or whoever I've left out.
2) buy the CHEAPEST 30-W oil they have
3) rest secure in the knowledge that it is about 10 times better oil than anything available in 1928-1931
4) put in in the engine and change it at whatever interval makes you happy.
5) move on to more significant worries on your list..........

I like Walmart (especially their 5qt oil containers) Yesterday, I took a totally dead, 3YO battery (I had lost the reciept). I upgraded to a 5 year, somewhat heavier, battery and it only cost me $11. I was expecting one of those "It's Pro rated" fights. It didn't happen! They gave me full credit for it and charged me $20 for the upgrade, then they gave me a $9 core charge for the old battery. Walmart's ok with me!
