59 engine in a 35 pickup
Question and answer. When installing a 59 engine in a 35 pickup, can you use the 59 dual shive front crank pulley with out removing the front shive? Will the front shive clear the cross member. No using front shive, fan off gen. Thanks Walt

Walt
The 35/36 ford pickup will fit the 59 block front dual sheave pulley with no modification to the front cross member or pulley Bill |

Thanks Bill, I was dreading setting that pulley up in the lathe and cutting that front shive off if I didn't have to. Walt

Walt, they must be different than the 33,had to cut the twin pulley off,(an easy job) but also had to shorten the crankshaft at the front to clear the crank handle guide on the u/bolts.
