Default Moonshine Meet results...

Did not make it this year due to other commitment, but for those who attended - question - Where did the 39-40s park??? Think Mayor's decree stinks. The "Court House" cars are what got this great festival started. What is this new Mayors term = out Buster... Jim Langley

Jim, I couldn't go this year either however, I did hear that the event went well even though the display of Moonshine cars was moved from around the Courthouse. I'm waiting to see photos...

The mayor or other town officials were probably taking too much heat because of the traffic jam it creates for folks living in that area. The event certainly brings business to Dawsonville and surrounding area and towns.

Ken sorry I didn't get up to the show to see you. Maybe next year we can park our two '39 LZ's next to each other...

That will be nice and packed with the swap meet area. Despite the court house area being blocked off, it looked pretty good where they had you guys park. It was good seeing you and we are already looking forward to next year. Steve

The "moonshine cars" parked east of the courthouse on hwy 53 and for a short distance up hwy 9. I liked the set up this year but did hear a lot of complaints. The show moving behind the Food Lion is contingent on the city completing a park with a paved track around it which is where the cars will be. I can't see it happening by next year which btw will be the 50th moonshine festival. Everybody should be there for the 50th.

It wasn't bad but it just wasn't the same not getting to park around the old courthouse. I guess everyone hates change. I have space #9 and plan to keep coming as I feel it will work itself out. I know several folks that left and vowed never to come back.
