1932 original Ford roadster at auction
This week I went to an auction in Marshall, Mo. where an original 32 roadster was auctioned off. It was sitting in a wooden barn for a very long time. The body was pretty good so it will make a car, original frame with K member, real nice grille, good headlights, firewall was cut and a little rusty. Hard to believe there are originals still sitting in barns. It sold for $13,500 without a title or bill of sale. The old place had cars with trees growing up through them so you would have had to go home and get a chain saw. By the way, it was a rumble seat car.

Re: 1932 original Ford roadster at auction
I have met a young fellow who is a friend of the guy who bought the car. So he is going to keep me updated on the build, he didn't tell me his name. I'm hoping to go see the car some day and I believe the car is in Sedalia, Mo.

Re: 1932 original Ford roadster at auction
Reminds me of an auction I went to several years ago in N.H. The car every one was interested in was I believe a 26 ? cadillac sedan with an aluminum body and V8 engine which was up on a slope in a shed facing away from the hill with the back wheel running a ski tow. The land had grown in with lots of trees and brush. The fellow who ended up with the vehicle knew what it was and had a very thick book all about it with him. I believe they cut a road to get it out and it was sold to a party right off. I did the same thing to get a 34 Ford Sedan off a mountain that had been used for the same purpose about 30 years before. Car was complete except for right hand tie rod end and wheel bearing. Liquid in the gas tank still if you can believe it ! Unfortunately I was not quite quick enough to get the 32 Ford three window that was below this one. As far as I know there is still a 30 something Plymouth sedan up there even today. Sweet memories

Here are some more pics, I never did take a side shot of the car as I was so interested in the inside so that I would know how my roadster should look.
