Default Pressure Testing

Can a block be pressure tested with it's internals in place?
I bought an 8BA a couple of years ago that was rebuilt but never pressure tested. Right now, just the crank, rods and pistons are in the block.
Just wanted to see if it's doable or if I have to pull it apart.
Thanks,
Joe

Just bolt on the pressureplates and leave it over night with compressed air if its good no need for a teardown.
If it leaks then you got issues to solve...

You would only have a further problem if there are leaks. Installed components could make it difficult to pinpoint where the leak might be.
