what tools or measuring devices did henry ford used when first manufacturing the model T ?
were micrometers in existence then ?
when one looks at the massive repeatability of the assembly line back in his days and even as he done with his R&D ...
iam sure henry used some form of a micrometer to make sure things fit.

The Ford plants were known for their fantastic machines and machining capabilities. The flathead V/8 was actually machined on a lower unit cost than the prior 4cylinder engines. Multi-machining operations at once were the norm at Ford. Leland at Cadillac and Lincoln was known for precise machining at the dawn of the 20th century. so rest assured machine tools and measuring tools to make and set them up were readily available.

when henry made his first automobile in his garage, i would be curious what measuring tools he used.
and how he was able to keep such tight tolerances ?
