Looking for advice on purchasing and installing a top wood kit for a 1930 Murray Town Sedan. Have heard horror stories about some of the suppliers.

John, don't know anything about this company but Classic Wood Products has been mentioned on this site. Something to look up and check out.

ck out their site. I think that may be where all of the wood comes from, for the suppliers
they sale direct and can help you though any fit issues and explain why different cabs makers have slightly fit problems. From what I have heard, most all wood kits need a little finesse to fit your particular cab.
I live about 10 miles from them. Our club has toured their plant.
You want find a more knowledgeable staff, most have been there around 20 years.

Exactly what have you heard, ...and from whom? My personal experiences is that "kits" from either supplier mentioned are not 'plug & play' however they are a great start for someone who can adjust, re-fabricate, or fill & redrill holes. What are your own skill levels, and expectations? Also, what is. The condition of the wood you are replacing?

Ohh, and if no one has told you yet, welcome to Fordbarn!
