Vacuum oil/fluid extractors...
Looking @ the Topsider MVP and the Mityvac 7201, are any of you fellas using these to change your fluids, newer/older vehicles ect.
I'm getting tired of crawling under the vehicles, I have to get under there to grease things but any input would be great. |

Don't remember the band & model numbers, but in my boating days that was the way it had to be done. Really couldn't get to the oil pan or drain plug.

Re: Vacuum oil/fluid extractors...
I bought one of the green flow tool Liquivac ones a few years ago, and it works better than I even hoped. Sucks that oil out right now. Handle fell off right away, though, have to hook visegrips on it.
I never did try emptying a whole car crankcase with it, however. Use it on everything else and motorcycles. |

Re: Vacuum oil/fluid extractors...
I cant see myself using a vacuum device for engine or transmission. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that when it drains out with gravity it lets out all the fine particles and possible sludge.

Re: Vacuum oil/fluid extractors...
I went with the Mityvac 7201, extract and dispense motor oil, transmission/differential, coolant and brake fluid. This will make tuneup service a lot easier now.
