Default Interstate car transportation company (Tudor 1929/Mercury 1956)

Hi

Soon I will be relocating from Massachusetts to Florida. I have a Tudor 1929 and a Mercury 1956 to relocate.

Any one would like to recommend me a car transportation company you have used?

I think the Model A needs to go covered .

Any tip and recommendations will be very welcome.

Thank you !!
Daniel

I have had a bad experience with 365 Car Movers, “RUDE”! Actually worse than that.

Lightbulb Interstate car transportation company (Tudor 1929/Mercury 1956)

Define “ Soon “

#2 diesel is averaging over $6.00 a gallon nationwide.
It is higher on the East & West Coasts.

It takes 4 to 6 weeks minimum to have a vehicle
picked up by someone who actually drives the truck
pulling the trailer that has your vehicle in or on it.

80% or more of the vehicles transported around
the lower 48 states have hauling arrangements
facilitated by auto transport brokers.

90% of those brokers lie to you about cost and timeframe.

You vehicle(s) are picked up & taken to a holding yard
where they wait to be loaded on trailers headed in
your general direction.

They are transferred between multiple trailers
and stored outside in yards between trips.

Your vehicle(s) are driven on & off the trailers
multiple times - this is where damage occurs.

Read the fine print in a brokered contract - no one ever does.

The price you are quoted is subject to change
as is the cost - you agree to
“ customary & acceptable damage “
which includes:

Mechanical
Body
Paint
Interior
Glass

If you want your vehicle(s) to arrive in the condition
they leave - drive or transport them yourself.

Otherwise - hire someone who is driving the truck
pulling the trailer to do it.

Good Luck

Hi Jim

Thank you very much for this long answer. I really do not have experience on this topic. Last time I sent a car to Florida was 20 years ago (son's used car) in a standard transportation company and all went fine.

Nevertheless, I see you do transport cars. Can you PM me so we can chat and see if I can use your services.

SOON means like September / October / November , before we get snow here in Massachusetts. Cars are in my barn, not easily accessible with snow. But not impossible either :-)

Both cars are working fine. I drive them every other week.

Best
Daniel
