Just Delivered Original Fordor
I am absolutely thrilled with my latest...a 30 Deluxe Fordor with what I believe to be 65,000 original miles ! The car hauler dropped it off yesterday morning and I'm like a kid on Christmas ! Unfortunate repaint, but nice original interior, a beautiful dash ( see the before cleaning and after pics) and an engine that is smoother than any A I have ever driven. Powerful and firm to handle. Doors close like a vault. This car has obviously never been apart with lots of original fasteners etc. And Hershey next week !!! I can't stand myself !

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
Great looking Car! That really looks like the twin of my first Briggs bodied Model A.
I am going from memory here, so correct me if I am wrong.... Wouldn't the rear mounted oval dome light, cowl lights, and Mohair Interior scheme identify the body style as a Town Sedan rather than a Fordoor? Congratulations on an excellent addition! |

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
Deluxe Delivery..great find and congrats on becoming a dad again. I was looking at it and that is a late 30 Townsedan. Looks just like mine, Briggs body and all-except for the paint color.

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
Those Town Sedans were top of the line. To find one in such fine condition is to find a treasure. It's especially rewarding to know someone (you) got it who understands its value in its "as-is" state.
Can we know how and where you found it? |

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
It came off the Flebay ! It was in Milwaukee and had been listed with a buy it now. It had only been on for 1 hour and had a bid real close to the buy it now. I jumped at the reasonable, I thought, price.

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
Nice! I don't know why, but Fordor sedans really look nice to me after a lifetime of chasing Coupes and Roadsters.

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
Congrats on a very nice find!
I had one just like it, but not in that nice condition. Sold it, and have been sorry ever since. The only Model A I have ever sold. |

She's a beauty, for sure! Next week I expect to see a picture with the new
kid behind the wheel. Congrats on both the kid and the car. Jack

Re: Just Delivered Original Fordor
LOL ! Sorry if I mislead anyone, Jack. I was just going along with the gag posted earlier when I was congratulated on being a new "A" dad ! So actually, the new kid IS the car! ( the "mom" is still cranky though). She , like many normal people, think one old car is enough ! Silly normal people ! LOL
