If its not stock and you have some rust in the trunk, do what we did, put in a gas tank from a Mustang, not much money and it takes care of to problems.

Default Where to get gas tank?

I need to clean the tank in my '47. The eastwood kit is about $50 plus extra supplies you need locally. I was talking to the PO who said he had that problem years ago. Thinking now maybe I should drop for a new tank. Hoping for something under $200. I see drake's got em for about $250. I don't have that to drop on a gas tank.

Can napa get em?

If you tank is not rusted out, get the gas tank repair kit from POR-15. It contains everything you need to fix your tank where it will last longer than you will. First step is the Marine Clean compound which gets rid of the rust and cleans down to bare metal. The next step is a solution that etches the metal where the sealer will bond to it. Final step is the sealer. Do it exactly by the instructions and you will have no more trouble with your gas tank.

I've seen por 15 gas tank sealer, but never a full kit from them. Who has that, and what does it run? If I gotta lay out $100 just to clean mine, I'll go for new at $250.
