Model A Rear Spare Tire Bracket
I have a Model A Rear Spare Tire Bracket Part # A-1383 - can anyone tell me what body styles & what year(s) of Model A's that this bracket will fit?

Re: Model A Rear Spare Tire Bracket
I think if you look in Snyder's, Bratton's, Mac's, Tam's, etc.. you may find a matching number.

Re: Model A Rear Spare Tire Bracket
The "rear spare wheel carriers" are shown on page 22-13 of the Restoration Guidelines. The number A-1383 is the part number for the base of the assembly, prior to adding the lug bolts, etc. The assembly has a different part number. They show at least four different variations of the one with "A-1383" number on it. They fit Sedans and Phaetons. You will need to compare your part to the ones in the chart to determine exactly which one you have.

Re: Model A Rear Spare Tire Bracket
I have checked the Mac's & Snyder's catalogs & it is not listed. My bracket does not have any letters listed after the A-1383.
I don't have the Restoration Guidelines - would it be possible for someone to post a copy of this page or email it to me? |
